Google's Kill Rate Dissected

March 24, 2013

Thorough piece by Charles Arthur in The Guardian looking at how long Google has kept its various free services and APIs running. This isn't the reason I've generally avoided trusting my data to Google services, but it's a compelling one nonetheless. To think I used to worry about Flickr going away, and shuddered at the thought of having to use Picasa. I'm feeling a lot better about that now.
